Trinity Baptist Church Welcomes Chris and Valerie Haynes

On September 9th, Trinity Baptist Church unanimously voted to call Chris Haynes to join the staff of Trinity as “The Minister of Ministry Development and Assimilation”. To our great joy, Chris accepted and he will start on October 1st.

Chris, Valerie and their three boys, CJ (5), Caleb (3) Levi (1) presently live in Moore, and will in the near future move to Norman to be closer to the church. It will take a little time for us to get to know them, for Chris to learn his way around the ins and outs of Trinity, and for Valerie and the children to feel at home at their new church; however, I anticipate that time to be very brief since Trinity knows how to make people feel welcome, and already you have demonstrated your welcoming spirit to them.

Beyond their Christian commitment to our Lord Jesus Christ, three things seem to stand out about Chris coming that I am particularly excited about.

First, he has several years of good experience, which will enable him to give “seasoned” leadership at Trinity. Second, his ministry at Southern Hills has afforded him some experiences that will enhance the breadth of ministry possibilities at Trinity. Lastly, his desire to be a part of Trinity based on his knowledge of who we are and our philosophy of ministry is incredibly important for a smooth transition and long and profitable ministry together.

Please be in prayer for Chris, Valerie and the boys as they say goodbye to a church that they love and loves them, and prepare to begin a new ministry at Trinity.
