Think About IT: A DIFFERENCE in Islam and Christianity

“Demonstrators attacked the U.S. embassies in Yemen and Egypt on Thursday [9/13/12] in protest of a film they consider blasphemous to Islam, and American warships headed towards Libya after the U.S. ambassador there was killed in related violence this week.” http://www.reuters.com/article/2012/09/13/us-protests-idUSBRE88C0J320120913

According to an article posted by the Assyrian International News Agency on 9/26/2012, “The anti-Islam film trailer that the White House repeatedly blamed for sparking unrest in the Middle East had nothing to do with the attack that led to the death of U.S. Ambassador to Libya Chris Stevens, that nation’s president said in a television interview.

“Libyan President Mohamed Magarief said the deadly Sept. 11 attack in Benghazi, which also resulted in the deaths of three other Americans, was more likely pegged to the anniversary of the 9/11 attacks.

“‘Reaction if it was genuine, should have been six months earlier. So it was postponed until the 11th of September,’ Magarief told NBC’s Ann Curry in the exclusive interview. ‘They chose this date, 11th of September to carry a certain message.'” http://www.aina.org/news/20120926102429.htm

Even though we now know it was not the film trailer, Nader Fawzy, a Coptic Christian activist fears “for his family’s safety after being accused of playing a role in the notorious anti-Islam film [Innocence of Muslims] that has sparked violence throughout the Muslim world.http://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/toronto/story/2012/09/22/karygiannis-coptic-christian-death-threat.html

Regardless whether the film actually played a role in the demonstration, the whole occasion provides yet another example of Islamic barbarism, which is true to all we know about Islam. Islam and Christianity are only superficially similar, but their core beliefs are radically different. The difference is even evident in how each responds to things they dislike. For example, Christians respond to slander, ridicule, mocking, or even blasphemy of the most sacred teachings of Christianity with peaceful protest, prayers for their enemies, and efforts to be salt and light. On the other hand, Muslims sign a fatwa, which makes the assassination of those who speak ill of Islam justified. After the fatwa, any Muslim from anywhere can kill you, your wife, your children, ambassadors, etc.

If one is going to continue the anachronistic and disanalogous comparison of Islam’s brutality to the Crusades, or continue the myth that Islam is really a peaceful religion, then the promoters of such are going to have to continue obfuscating history and turn off all the televisions in America.
