The Jews are the offspring of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, with whom God chose to make everlasting promises, including an everlasting land covenant (Gen 12:1–7;13:14 –17; 15:7; 17:1–10; 26:1–5; 28:13–15; 35:10–12; 1 Chron 16:16–18; Num 34:7–12). Numbers 34:7–12 is where the phrase “from the river to the sea” comes from. Speaking to Jacob, God reiterated these covenantal promises (Gen 28:13–15; 32:27–28; 35:10,12). The land is called Israel (1 Sam 13:19), which is what Jacob is called (Gen 32:27–28; 35:10,12), with whom God made unconditional land covenants, giving the Jews the land forever. Although God would discipline them for their sin, temporarily removing the Jews from the land he unconditionally gave them, he promised to bring them back into the covenantal land of Canaan (Israel) that he had given them (Deut 30:3–5; Jer 29:14; Ezek 37:12–23). There was always a remnant in the land. The covenants being forever, were unconditional, and, therefore, the Jews’ disobedience did not annul the covenants. Actually, there was or is nothing the Jews can do to cause these covenants to end being unconditional, unlike the Mosaic covenant, which is conditional.
The Jews, Israel, are God’s chosen people (Deut 7:6; 14:2; Isa 44:1; Jer 31:35–37; Rom 11:1–5; 11:11–36; Gal 6–16). This does not mean they are individually eternally saved; that is always by faith (Gen 15:6; Hab 2:4; Rom 1:17; Gal 3:11; Heb 10:38), nor does it mean they do everything right today any more than it did in the Old Testament, as it merges into the New Testament. That they are God’s chosen earthly people with whom he made unconditional everlasting covenants is true of all Jews, whether they are in America, Europe, or elsewhere, including the nation of Israel as a citizen or part of the government.
As individuals, Jews commit wrongs, just like anyone else, including Christians. Some Jews are not very likable, just like some Christians are not, but that is not the determiner of whether the Jews are chosen by God or people are Christians, any more than the reality that some humans are unlikeable, and all sin, and do wrong; yet, they are still humans because they are created in the image of God. Israel, as a nation, commits wrongs just like every country does, which we should rightly condemn, as is true of the wrongs committed in the Old Testament, or by our own country, America.
I support the Jewish offspring of Abraham against our contemporary and ever-increasing antisemitism (Jew hatred) in America, the West, and many of the countries in the world, whether found on the left or right. Most of which is dependent on and fueled by Islam or the original thoughts and language of Hitler’s Third Reich and Nazism. The latter has only now been restyled to be more palatable to the modern listener, thereby leaving the impression in the listener’s mind that it is original thinking in the minds of today’s purveyors of this antisemitic thinking on “The Jewish Question,” when in reality it is merely reimagined Naziism.[1]
The two most relied upon Jew-hating conspiracy theories have been historically disproven repeatedly. However, they are still relied on by Islamists, even most of Islam, neo-Nazis, and those influenced by them, including people who fall for conspiracy theories because they are too unwilling to study history. To many, the uncomplicated nature of conspiracy theories makes them exceedingly attractive as an alternative to actual history, which is complex, and conspiracy theories provide multitudes with something that seems to easily answer so much, or even everything. Examples are The Protocols of the Learned Elders of Zion (the author, date, and even location of origin of the Protocols are debated) and The Talmudic Jew by August Rohling, a German Catholic theologian and notorious 19th-century antisemite. The latter was first published in 1871.These two tools of antisemites are sufficient to claim justification for blaming the Jews for virtually every or any personal, local, national, and international wrong, tragedy, and catastrophe.
Both of these conspiracy theories have been proven false many times, on many levels, in many countries over the last one hundred and fifty years (Talmudic Jew 1871 and The Protocols 1897-1903).[2] But people still believe them and teach them without knowing, or often not caring, about their lack of objective facts, accuracy, credibility, and truthfulness. I watched Candace Owens hold up The Talmudic Jew while promoting it on her December 2025 podcast.[3] It was held up as a book to read to truly understand the mind of the Jews, especially what they seek to hide from others.
Regarding The Talmudic Jew, Edward H. Flannery says, “[It’s] little more than a recasting of [Johann Andreas] Eisenmenger’s view—which went into edition after edition even after its thoroughgoing refutation by competent scholars.”[4] Eisenmenger wrote his two-volume Judaism Unmasked and published it in 1711 and 1714, respectively. Hussein Aboubakr Mansour says of The Talmudic Jew, “This book and its author stood trial in antisemitic Germany itself—and were found wanting even there.”[5] “Joseph Samuel Bloch, a rabbi and member of the Austrian parliament, offered to pay Rohling 3,000 florins if he could correctly translate a single page of the Talmud selected at random. Rohling declined.”[6]
In summary, Rohling mistranslated the Talmud, did not sufficiently know the languages (especially Aramaic), used legal hypotheticals as doctrine or law, ignored context, created quotations, withdrew his lawsuit against Joseph Samuel Bloch for slandering him by calling him a fraud, among other accusations, because Rohling knew the trial would expose his slapdash work. Because of his unscholarly work, he lost credibility among peers—some of whom (remember this took place in Germany) themselves were unsupportive of the Jews, but would not accept his writings as scholarly.[7] He was forced to retire early, losing his professorship, and living out his life in obscurity. This is who Candace Owens recommended for anyone really wanting to understand the Talmud and the dark side of Judaism’s animus toward Christianity.
Regarding the Protocols, they have had a greater influence worldwide. Richard S. Levy writes, “The Protocols of the Elders of Zion, one of the most important forgeries of modern times, presents a Jewish plot to take over the world and to reduce non-Jews to abject slavery.”[8]
In his thorough book, Norman Cohn writes of the Protocols as “It is true that the supreme expression and vehicle of the myth of the Jewish world-conspiracy, the notorious forgery known as the Protocols of the Elders of Zion, had received quite a lot of attention.”[9]
Cohn further speaks of the Protocols’ influence, explaining “how the Protocols were used to justify massacres of Jews during the Russian civil war; how they swept the world after the First World War; how they took possession of Hitler’s mind and became the ideology of his most fanatical followers at home and abroad—and so helped to prepare the way for the Holocaust.”[10]
“In 1986, Bernard Lewis, the distinguished student of Near Eastern history, described the popularity and pernicious influence the Protocols and other standard antisemitic works, such as Rohling’s Talmudic Jew, have had in several Muslim lands … these two books are the most frequently cited authorities on Jewish matters—not only on Israel and Zionism, but on Jews and Judaism in general.”[11]
The Protocols have been shown to take direct statements from The Dialogue in Hell Between Machiavelli and Montesquieu, written in 1864 by Maurice Joly. The dialogue had nothing to do with the Jews. The idea is that Joly cloaked his concerns about Napoleon III’s rule in France in this literary work, in part to protect himself. The Dialogue depicts Machiavelli and Montesquieu meeting in hell and arguing about politics. Machiavelli argues for the absolute power and authority of the ruler, such as Napoleon, whereas Montesquieu contends for Constitutionalism, liberal democracy, and individual liberty.
John S. Waggoner writes, “Scholars have traced the Protocols forgery mainly to two literary works. By far, however, the Dialogue in Hell was the most prominent and substantive source. The forger’s plagiarism was extensive as whole passages were copied directly from the Dialogue. ‘In all, over 160 passages in the Protocols, totaling two-fifths of the entire text, are clearly based on Joly. In some of the chapters, the borrowings amount to more than one-half of the text, in one, (Protocol VII) to almost the entire text.’”[12]
Waggoner goes on to say, “The other source for the Protocols forgery was found in a novel written four years after the Dialogue entitled To Sedan (1868). That work contains a chapter describing a secret congregation of world rabbis in Prague, a centennial event in that city’scemetery. The novel was written under the pseudonym Sir John Retcliffe, actually a Prussian clerk and rabid anti-Semite named Herman Godsche … At the cemetery and in the presence of Satan, the rabbis, representing the twelve tribes of Israel, relate their success since their last meeting in furthering their secret plan for world domination.”[13]
When I read the Dialogue and saw the passages in the Dialogue side by side with those in the Protocols, the charge of significant plagiarism was undeniable. All of the other evidence was enough to demonstrate that the Protocols is fraudulent, but the undeniable plagiarism sealed the proverbial coffin.
Regarding the Protocols, Levy says, “For seventy-five years, Jews and non-Jews, churchmen, politicians, and private citizens of nearly every persuasion and from nearly every country where the Protocols has appeared have ridiculed it as a blatant hoax. Yet, devastating and authoritative judgments have failed to put an end to the book. It still turns up in likely and unlikely places all over the world”[14]
Levy gives a well-needed word of caution, saying, “Intelligent readers need to be educated about the contents of the Protocols and the historical and present-day political influence of this thoroughly libelous and mean-spirited forgery.”[15]
My disagreement with the antisemitism within the church is equally as strong. In the early church, some of the church Fathers were antisemitic, followed through the centuries by the Catholic church, some of the Reformers, and others, and even now by some Christian Nationalists and other Christians who seriously misunderstand the biblical teaching in the Old and New Testament about the Jews. They mistakenly absolutize some statements that dealt with particular times or situations. Further, they wrongly interpreted Scripture to make all Jews, living at the time of Jesus and ever since, guilty of deicide.
Forgetting that the Old Testament prophets were Jews, Jesus was a Jew, the apostles and authors of the New Testament were Jews, and the early church was almost entirely made up of Jews. Some Christians today have lost the heart of the apostle Paul, saying, “I am telling the truth in Christ, I am not lying, my conscience testifies with me in the Holy Spirit, that I have great sorrow and unceasing grief in my heart. For I could wish that I myself were accursed, separated from Christ for the sake of my brethren, my kinsmen according to the flesh” (Romans 9:1–3). And that God is saving Jews today, and has a future plan for Israel, his chosen people.
The land of Israel belongs to the Jews covenantally, historically, biblically, and legally.[16] Therefore, I do strongly and unequivocally support Abraham’s offspring, the Jews, and am biblically and adamantly against every form of Jewish hate, antisemitism, whether it is towards the Jews who are in Israel, America, or anywhere else. Jews have lived in Canaan, later called Israel, continuously for almost four thousand years, since 1855 BC,[17] and therefore, are neither colonizers nor wrongful occupiers.[18] Moreover, I also support them against any, be it the Third Reich of WWII, modern-day white supremacists of all types, Leftist Marxian-socialists, or those of the Muslim faith, who promote antisemitism with the ultimate goal of removing them from the land God gave them or eliminating the Jewish race through genocide (a word coined during the Holocaust, speaking of the Jewish extermination).
[1] Throughout historical and contemporary books, this phrase may be stated exactly as I have it or slightly modified by nuance and amendments. However, it always refers in one way or another to the question of how such a small population with such oddities as the Jews can have so much influence, wealth, and success. This has led to conspiracy theories throughout the last two millennia, and even before. The question includes what is to be done about and with them, including marginalizing them, limiting their opportunities, access, and acceptance, all the way to repeatedly answering that they must be exterminated. This thinking was prevalent through the centuries before the Holocaust, but was actualized on a massive, systematic scale under Hitler; the answer of genocide is still held by many today, as seen in the chant, “From the river to the sea.” See Henry Ford and the Jews; The Mass Production of Hate by Neil Baldwin (New York: Public Affairs, 2003), 129, 130–132, 157.
[2] The Protocols were usually composed within the dates I have given, but sometimes it is said to have been forged in Paris by a Russian, and at times in Russia. See A Lie and A Libel: The History of the Protocols of the Elders of Zion by Binjamin W. Segel for an in-depth study.
