As the Ottomans advanced into Europe, Pope Pius II said, “Can we expect peace from a nation which thirsts for our blood . . . Mahomet will never lay down his arms until he is either wholly victorious or completely vanquished. Each success will be only a stepping-stone to the next until he has mastered all the Western Monarchs, overthrown the Christian Faith, and imposed the law of his false prophet on the whole world.”[1]
In the 7th century, Islam started unprovokedly attacking Christian pilgrimages to Jerusalem and Christian lands and cities (some mentioned below), which they continued for over three hundred years before the first crusade, which was launched in response to Islam’s continuous brutal and barbaric aggression against Christians and their lands. The Knights Templar began to protect pilgrimages to the Holy Sepulcher from unprovoked Muslim raids.
Mohammed was a warrior, and he led over sixty-six raids on Christian pilgrimages to the Holy Sepulcher, caravans, cities, and states (countries) before he died. After building his militarized political religious organization in Medina, called Islam, and before leaving Medina on a quest to transform the world from Dar al Kufr (abode of infidels) to Dar Al-Islam (abode of Islam), he massacred and beheaded over eight hundred Jewish men.
From Mohammed to today, Islam has spread only marginally through persuasion, and mostly through the Sword, conquest, death, forced subjugation, or forced conversion of those conquered. This includes lands that had become Christian, such as Constantinople (Istanbul), Jordan, Syria, Palestine, Israel, North Africa, Egypt, and Anatolia (Turkey), as well as other non-Christian lands, such as Iran (Persia).
Islamic aggression against other lands is the mandate of the Quran and the practice of Islam for the past 1400 years. All one has to do is look at the past and the day in which we live. When conquest by the Jihad of the sword is not possible, they conquer by the Jihad of immigration, procreation, and Political representation.
This does not mean there are no peaceful Muslims. I suppose there are millions. It does mean that Islam, since Muhammad’s time in Medina, is a militarized, political religion, that if faithfully followed, as evidenced in Islamic writings and their history, is not a religion of peace.
Instead, it is one of brutality, immorality, and subjugation, especially of women and the conquered who do not convert. Islamist men can have four wives and many concubines. Part of the booty for men fighting in Jihad (the reward of conquering a people) is understood historically and currently by many Islamic leaders to mean that the Islamic soldiers can take as much as “what your right hands possess”; that is, they can take as many women as concubines as they are able and strong enough to take. Islam’s history is full of this very immoral and brutal practice. Islam is to carry out its mandate of conquest and conversion until the whole world, whether by persuasion or force, submits to Allah, which is what Islam means: submission (to Allah).
