Social justice is not a part of the gospel but can only be a corruption of the gospel. The following lists will compare and contrast the faith teaching of Judaizers, social justice advocates, and the Bible.
The Judaizers declared:
- The gospel requires faith in Christ and living like a Jew who keeps the law
- Faith and keeping the law equals salvation
- Grace and the law equal the gospel
- Grace, faith, and doing justice according to the law is the gospel that results in salvation
The Social Justice advocates declare:
- The gospel requires faith in Christ and pursuing social justice
- Faith and pursuing justice equal salvation
- Grace and justice equal the gospel
- Grace, faith, and doing justice according to social justice is the gospel that results in salvation
The Bible declares:
- The gospel requires faith in Christ (1 Cor 15:1-4)
- Faith in Christ equals salvation (John 3:18)
- Grace through faith equals salvation (Eph 2:8)
- Grace and faith in Christ dying for your sin is the gospel that results in salvation (John 3:16)
Anyone who attaches social justice or any aspect of social justice, often abbreviated as simply justice, to the gospel of Jesus Christ corrupts it.
