Thank You, Men!

I just finished reading each of the notes that you wrote me expressing your gratitude for my part in Men’s Fraternity. Let me say, I was humbled at your kindness, spiritually encouraged by your thanksgiving and challenged by your daring bravery in seizing manhood. I will always treasure the time involved and words that each of you gave as an expression of thanks to me.

Your gracious gifts to me were quite a surprise, and I shall always remember you men who gave them to me, and our common quest together to raise high the Sword of Manhood in our lives. The shield makes a nice addition to my “Excalibur” not only for gracing my wall, but reminding me of the need for offensive and defensive strategies in order to be the man God wants me to be. They also serve to remind me that I am not alone in this noble battle.

I was more than surprised by the page out of the Geneva Bible; I was astonished. WOW! This ancient page of Holy Scripture, charred by the fires of persecution against our forefathers, soiled by hands that were faithful to the Scripture, and tattered by time as it passed from one life to another, shouts back at me the grand truth that “THE GRASS WITHERS, AND THE FLOWER FALLS OFF, BUT THE WORD OF THE LORD ENDURES FOREVER.”(1 Peter 124-:25)

The past three years have been challenging and comforting, convicting and encouraging, scary and calming, as we have walked this journey together. As I read your notes, it caused me to reflect back on the challenges and decisions that some of you guys faced head on in order to move ahead in your manhood, and I was both encouraged by your devotion and impressed by your undaunted valor.

To be numbered among you, is indeed a grand honor and blessing. Men, thank you for giving me the privilege of standing with you for righteousness. There are no other men on earth that I would rather be counted among than you.

Indebted,

Ronnie W Rogers
